What a week....

What a week...

Sunday night we walked into the apartment and it smelt nasty. the people that live under us were smoking marijuana. so we went and spent the night at some other sisters apartment. then monday we played some volleyball with the sisters and then we went on an exchange with some sisters in Dartmouth.

Tuesday we had a great lesson with one of our investigators and then we went to institute! kinda really wish i would have paid more attention during seminary and institute at home... lol...

Wednesday we were in bridgewater for district meeting. Then i had to put the finishing touches on the training that i was giving on thursday for leadership conference!

Thursday came and we had a 3-4 hour ride in the transfer van to go to leadership conference. there were 8 elders my companion and i... needless to say it was entertaining... The conference was a lot of fun! Then it was another 3-4 hour drive back to the city.. crazy yet again..

Friday was super nice outside, we went and helped a member do some yard work in the morning, then had a few lessons! It was a crazy warm day!!

Saturday was nice in the morning and then turned cold and rainy in the afternoon. we had a lesson at 1 with the elders and a less active. then Sister hotchkiss the elders and i did a lemonade stand and then later that night was games night. we played volleyball. i did NOT hurt myself! got a little rug burn but thats about it :)

Sunday was a great day! We went to church, had correlation with the elders and then a supper appointment! We then had a surprise party for Sister Pratt! It was her birthday yesterday so we had a little birthday party last night!

Today should be another great day! It is President Pratt's Birthday and they are having a surprise party for him!

What an incredible week!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Greenwood how i love being home.... even if it is only for 2 days <3

This week was a crazy long one! Monday after we were done emailing we jumped in the car and went to Greenwood! We were there until Tuesday around supper! We came home and had a lesson! Ill talk about it more below! Wednesday we got up went to Zone Conference! Then we were off to New Glasgow! For those that are wondering the sister in my profile picture is a sister serving in New Glasgow! She is from Townsend Montana! I cant even tell you how excited i am to have a sister here from back home! Thursday we left New Glasgow and came back home to have a lesson with our investigator Katelyn that will be getting baptized April 30th! ThenFriday and Saturday Sister Olsen and i worked our butts off so that we could reach all of our goals! And we did! Then yesterday we had a great lesson with Katelyn!

The Area is starting to go crazy! This week was a crazy week, we had a great lesson with Matt on Tuesday night he is now on date for baptism for May 7th! We were following up with him throughout the week and he said that he hadn’t prayed to know if Joseph Smith was a prophet yet so we committed him to pray that night and we followed up the next day and he was like oh my goodness i cant wait to tell you all about it on Tuesday during the lesson i had an amazing experience! We are very excited for his lesson! We will be teaching him The Plan of Salvation and the Word of Wisdom. We would love it if you would be willing to teach the Atonement of Jesus Christ.

We had a great lesson with Katelyn last night! We taught her the laws and ordinances. It was kinda a short lesson but as we were getting ready to close it Roy (investigator that isn’t progressing and has no religious background) spoke up and was like well i have a question... How does forgiveness and family stuff work? so we tried to understand where he was coming from and we ended up talking a lot about the Atonement of Jesus Christ. It was so great the whole Maclennan family started to come into the lesson one by one. We watch the Mormon Message Forgiveness: My burden is made light. It was a life changing experience for EVERYONE in the room myself included. Everyone was bearing testimony, Katelyn started to bear testimony through out it and it was great and powerful. We asked Roy if he would let us and the Maclennan's help him and he said yes. Then we asked him if he knows that God loves him and is his heavenly father and with no hesitation and with complete confidence he said yes.

I honestly cant even say how grateful i am to have the opportunity to serve here and to be able to teach these wonderful children of god. My testimony was strengthened so much last night. I can now see truly how much the Gospel of Jesus Christ can change anyone and everyone.

I truly am so grateful that i chose to serve a mission and i am grateful for the missionaries that served at home that helped impact my decision to serve! Karl and Turtle and many many others, thank you!
I have been able to grow and flourish in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that if i wouldn't have made the decision to come on a mission I probably wouldn't be as happy as I am right now! Not only have I grown but i have helped those in Atlantic Canada come to know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints is the ONLY true church on the earth today and that if we live faithful and righteous lives that we can and will live with our loved ones in the next life! I want you to know that I have a testimony of this Gospel, That i know that God is our loving Heavenly Father and that his Son Jesus Christ is our Saviour and Redeemer. He is the greatest being born to the Earth. He is the PERFECT example of how we should live our lives. He is the lord of lords, king of kings, The Creator, The Saviour, the God of the whole earth, The captain of our salvation, the bright and morning star. He is in all things, above all things, through all things and around all things. He is Alpha and Omega the first and the last, he is the only reason that we can live with our families again. I know that The prophet Joseph Smith is the only person that could have restored this church to the earth and the only human that was able to translate the Book of Mormon. I love this church with all of my heart! I would encourage you to listen to the General Conference! It was so great and i know that it can and will help with what ever trials you are facing right now! I know that i wouldn't have been able to make it as far as i have if it wasn't for all of you at home and most importantly my Heavenly Father and Elder Brother Jesus Christ.

I LOVE YOU!!!!
11 months down.... 7 to go....
idk how i feel about this... the weeks seem to go by faster and faster the longer i am here...

don’t forget i love to hear from you by email but also by letter!

Its gonna be a crazy fun and good transfer so far and its only day 5

Hey Hey! Back is Sackville I am!! What a crazy crazy week it has been! Monday  morning we left Moncton with the car packed and ready to go to Peggy's Cove when we get a call from President Pratt asking us to be to the mission office by 1 so we ended up hanging out at the mission office for a few hours and then we were off to Peggy's Cove with a few other sisters! Monday night we hung out in the Mission Home until probably 11 then i spent the night with the STLT's.

Tuesday morning we got up and went back over to the mission home where we were all day long. We were working on Transfer travel plans and holy cow can we say headache...? But it was a lot of fun! Tuesday night at 10:30 the Sackville Sisters came and picked me up and we went back to the apartment! Wednesday morning we got up and i had a Doctors appointment, which went good i got yet again another inhaler! i think im just gonna become a drug dealer.... lol jk.. or am i.... ;)

Thursday morning was a very early morning. the alarm went off at 4:30 we had to leave the apartment by 5:30 to pick up the elders and get them to the mission office to get on the transfer van... then it was time to do a little bit of studies.. not really i just unpacked. Then we went out to the waterfront it was supper nice that day! Then we got to go to the Temple!!!! ahh i love the temple sooo stinkin much! After the temple we had to drop some elders luggage off at the mission home that was going home so we walked in and Sister Pratt was like "Sister Moore How are you going to get home?" She was like "on an airplane." Sister Pratt said "Where is your passport?" She said "in my bag" Sister pratt said "Go get it i wanna see it" So she goes over gets it and hands it to sister pratt and she said "okay now open it and look at it..." Next thing you hear is "OH MY GOODNESS I HAVE SISTERS LAWS PASSPORT" Sister law  was her old companion currently serving in maine. So they were trying to figure out how they were going to get it soo sister Olsen and i ended up driving to new brunswick and meeting the sisters to change passports. needless to say it was a very long night!

Then Friday was yet again another crazy day we are helping the STLT's and the AP's with a video they are making for zone conference and when they asked president pratt who the "starts" of the video should be he was like Sister Hardy and Olsen! so i guess we will be the stars of the video... It was raining like crazy all day friday and saturday. We watch general conference at the church Saturday at 1 and then had a supper appointment with the greatest family! Then we stayed at their house to watch the 5 oclock session! needless to say i hate watching general conference on a couch with a blanket.... sister olsen, roseleigh and all started to lean on each other and fall asleep... lol

Then Sunday we had a skype call with our District Leaders and Zone Leaders and then we had a meeting at the mission home, so we went there then had lunch president pratt made some delicious soup! then watched general conference there... we may have missed the first 15 mins of it....lol It was so great! then we had to run to the apartment to grab a binder and then back to president pratts home to watch the last session of general conference! It was packed with the missionaries serving in the Metro area! We then had a great lesson with our investigator Katelyn! She is getting baptized on April 16th! It is sooo exciting!

Well i love and miss you all so much!! i cant wait to hear back from everyone!
