What a Week!!!

what a week! Monday we almost set a members table on fire... thanks to an object lesson... then we almost set our floor on fire that night playing with fire... Tuesday we had zone training! Sister Hotchkiss and i gave a training on Urgency and Understanding our Purpose. It was fun... 🦄  Then Wednesday we went finding all day, didn't find anyone but that's alright! We had institute that night and only renee and the girls showed up so we ended up playing games all night!  Thursday we went and visited some less active members and one of them is our age and has a million and one reptiles... we got to hold geckos and lizards and it was weird... i would honestly be alright not holding them again... We had Book of Mormon study that night and kym and jimmy (mom and dad) brought grandma! we are picking grandma up as an investigator tonight! Then we had to film them for a video the mission is making! We ended up silly stringing them :) it was fun! i'll try and send the video! Friday was interesting! All of our appointments canceled.. welcome to the life of a missionary.. We had ARP that night, ARP is the addiction recovery program the church has. We are going through it with some of the members and dang is it good! We had supper out at mom and dads and then we burnt some of my clothes. its kinda a tradition to burn stuff on your like 6 month, 12 month mark and so forth but i haven't burnt anything so we did it! We are planning an epic fire for my 18 month mark! Saturday was freezing butt cold! We helped at the farmers market! got Amish donuts , YUMMMM i may or may not have had 2... We had the opportunity to go to a funeral in the afternoon. It was the last of the civil war veterans to be buried! The patriot rider bike club brought his cremated remains from oregan all the way to some Podunk town in Maine! It was really cool! A

nyways we had supper at mom and dads again. Chicken Alfredo oh how i have missed you! Saturday night we got permission to watch the General Conference Womens Broadcast! it started at 8 here, it was so stinkin good! The main point was about how we need to have a testimony founded on the Gospel of Jesus Christ which is Faith, Repentance, Baptism by priesthood authority, the Gift of the Holy Ghost and Enduring to the End. These are the essential things that we need in our life so that when we go through hard times of trial and tribulation we can fall back and rely fully upon Jesus Christ and his Atonement, because we know that the Atonement is not just for repenting and changing the bad but it is to help us at ANYtime!

In the Book of Mormon in Alma 36:5 we read, "and now my son, Shiblon, i would that ye should remember, that as much as ye shall put your trust in God even so much ye shall be delivered out of your trials, and your trouble, and your afflictions, and ye shall be lifted up at the last day. " I can promise each and everyone of you that if you put your trust in God and his timing he will help each and everyone of you through the hard times you are facing! I can bear solemn witness that God is our loving Heavenly Father and that he know and loves each one of you. I know that he sent is Son Jesus Christ to this earth to take upon himself all of our trails, afflictions and so forth. I know without a shadow of a doubt that Jospeh Smith is a Prophet of God and was called to Restore Christ's church upon the earth. He translated the Book of Mormon by Gods hand, it is the word of God along with the Bible. I have grown a great love for the Bible, they work hand in hand to help all come closer to God. I love this gospel with all of the heart and am so happy that i have had this opportunity to share what i hold dear to my heart!

I hope you all have a great week and will try your hardest to rely fully upon the Atonement of Jesus Christ and trust God with all of your heart!

I would love to hear from you!

'Merica is my new favorite place... well kinda always has been!

DANG, I forgot how much I love America... Things are so stinkin cheap here!! It was an interesting experience getting here! We were suppose to be back in Houlton by Thursday night but didn't end up getting here until Friday afternoon.... the assistants were suppose to give me the family history booth stuff but forgot.. so we ended up stayin the night in Fredericton, then we drove back to nova scotia to get it and then back to new Brunswick and finally to Maine! I thought I was gonna kill someone. sitting for that long was a killer! Sister Hotchkiss is pretty legit, we are having lots of fun! There are a couple members here that make it feel like I have been serving here for eternity! The ward mission leader walked into branch council yesterday morning and asked how long I had been out and then called me a trunky missionary.. (trunky means dead, not wanting to do missionary work anymore...) I aint trunky don't worry... so as he was rolling the table out after church for linger longer I kicked it and it fell down... I told him that was for calling me trunky,... then everyone busted up laughing and yea.. so its gonna be a fun 2 transfers here in Houlton!

sorry its kinda short this week, just emailed on Wednesday... and all the other days were full of traveling...

I got lots of pictures to send!

Here is my address! Its in America so its should be a lot easier to send me stuff *wink* *wink*

'Merica here I come!

Well I am being transferred to Houlton Maine! I am so so sad to leave Sackville! I am have made so many new friends and family! I will never forget the people here in sackville that made me feel at home! I have seen so many miracles happen while being here as well!
So much has happened in the past week and a half i don't even know how to tell it all to you! Last p-day we went to the beach with the elders here in sackville and the sisters in Halifax! it was so much fun! then we had supper with the James family! <3 them! Then that night the elders text Sister Barfuss and i and said hey bring the lighter we have stuff to get rid of... so we ended up burning a box of letters.... (long long story!!) then they bought us ice cream!  They are pretty cool i guess.
Tuesday i went back to the doctors, nothing came of the blood results so they sent me back for more! Freak how much blood they tryin to take from me?
Wednesday we went bus contacting and boy let me say its not everyday that you have someone stop you and say they want to talk more bout Jesus! This lady followed us off of the bus. oh and her name is Tiger.. Yes i said Tiger as in the animal that said ROOOAAARRR. She is pretty legit and wanted to learn more! But she lives in Halifax, most deffos not our area! But oh well its part of missionary work!
Thursday morning we had MLC (mission leadership council) it was rough. I could not focus whatsoever and then i was asked to give a closing testimony. *peace out leadership* Then we had a lesson with our investigators Peter and Marilyn! Sister Pratt came with us! it was sweet! i pulled out some wicked drawing skills! ill send a pic! Then mission prep started! So basically got to chill with the peeps in da Sackville Ward!
Friday was pretty meh. Saturday we did a lemonade stand! dang did the kids want lemonade today! Then we played chair soccer that night! i got a nasty bruise on my calf!
Sunday we were in primary all day! We are helping them get ready for the primary program at the end of the month! We played Primary Idol (American idol, well i guess its Canadian idol or somethin here). It was sooo much fun!
Monday was a long hard day! We were outside all day talking to people! Anxious to hear about transfers!
Tuesday was super hard! I found out i was leaving Sackville and going to Houlton Maine! Super excited for 'Merican food, and candy and everything!!
This morning we went out to Peggy's Cove with the elders! it was a lot of fun! *BONUS* no one got hurt!
WELL!! I Love and Miss you all!!! Have a great week and enjoy everything this week!! till next time pals! (... monday....)

Hey Baby I like your up-do...(my hair is in a bun).....

Mono? Monday night we had supper with two of the ysa's in the ward and it was super fn cause it was only the two of them! we had some fun! Tuesday we were with some of our leaders on exchanges! talk about being hit on... sister fisk and i within like 15 mins were hit on like 3 times. we were walking across the crosswalk and some guy walking towards and is like hey baby i like your up-do... totally awkward cause there is no one around that has their hair up and its some creepy , homeless 50 year old totally hitting on me... then a drunk guy came up and walked right between us and just was trying to get super close... so that was awkward... then i came home and slept... Wednesday we traveled two hours to district meeting in Annapolis royal! We played darts for one of the trainings. Then we had a lesson with a less active and his wife is not a member! so we picked her up as a new investigator! Thursday we went and did some service at a members home!! then they fed us lunch :) then i had a doctors appointment... mono...? then we went out street contacting and got a few potentials <3 Then the greenwood sisters came up for an exchange and as we were waiting at the church for them we talked the elders into bringing us frosty's <3 we went out finding that night. Sister Anderson and Barfuss picked up two new investigators!! Friday was a super crazy stressful day! I went to get some blood work done in the morning, they took 2 or 6 tubes of blood and are testing for a million different things right now. then we went to the office to pick up an ipad for the new family history booth. then went to lunch! as we were getting home the other sisters were like so one of us has to go to greenwood to get the canopy and meet the amherst elders half way. they need it for an event tonight... so sister barfuss and i ended up driving all afternoon!! it was sooo much fun but super tiring!! Saturday was the ward picnic, sister anderson woke up sick... but we went anyways... i got sunburnt... 3 of our investigators came.... sooo stinkin exiting!!! then we did a lemonade stand with the elders! We had supper with the James <3 and then went street contacting!! Sunday i felt like crud... just super tired and really didnt want to be alive... i woke up at 6:30 and prayed, and laid down and crashed... so i moved to the couch and crashed.. so i moved to the floor to start getting ready... and crashed... so during ward council before church i was basically asleep.. so i was stilling on the chair greeting people falling asleep... then freak guess who showed up to church?!  Our two New investigators peter and Marylyn!!!! i freaked out... then we went and sat in the chapel and i needed to get a drink so we walked out and guess who showed up?! President Pratt.. you know you are in trouble or he has stuff to tell you when he shows up to church... but luckly it wasnt for us...  We had supper at the Johnsons, and i was laughing so hard i was crying during our lesson with them.... then we had the most spiritual plan of salvation lesson i have had on my mission with peter and marylyn. It was legit!! So it was a tough, hard, spiritual, sleepy week!!!

I Love and miss you all!!
I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU ALL!!!!
